Dr. Brian Lennox James is a distinguished technocrat, executive leader, and scholar from Trinidad and Tobago with over four decades of experience in industrial development, technical education, and innovation.
He began his career in the technical and vocational education sector and rose through the ranks to hold senior leadership roles, including Executive General Manager of the MIC Institute of Technology and Chairman of the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC). His career reflects a strong commitment to lifelong learning, merit-based advancement, and the development of technical education systems.
In leadership roles across both institutions, Dr. James has driven major modernization initiatives, including the expansion of national apprenticeship programmes, the introduction of digital learning systems, and the development of renewable energy and Industry 4.0-focused training facilities. At PTSC, he led initiatives in transport modernization, including smart tracking systems, digital ticketing, and the introduction of electric mobility solutions.
