Dr. Stacy Murray is a very humble woman who grew up in a quiet village in Tobago. She was the third of four girls. Stacy grew up in a poor home, being subjected to a single-parent family after her father left when she was
12 years old and remarried a woman three times his age. Nevertheless, Dr. Murray was determined to excel and become the best she could be, to get out of a life of poverty, and to make her mother proud and to support her for the sacrifices her mother had made for her.

Dr. Murray became a Registered Mental Nurse in 2002 and has been practicing nursing for the past 13 years. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with first-class honours. 

Her achievements earned her a full scholarship from the government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, where she completed her Master’s of Science Degree in Applied Psychology and a Doctorate Degree in Behavioural Health, all with distinctions.

Dr. Murray is passionate about God. She became an SDA Christian in 2004. She considers herself a missionary. She tries to empower people to seek God and tell others about His love wherever she goes.

She is a strong advocate against domestic violence and other forms of abuse and is the founder of a women’s empowerment group. She is also a voluntary member in various non-profit organisations across Trinidad and Tobago
